In March of 2004, SDG celebrated the world premiere of Children of God, an SDG-commissioned work for soprano and mezzo-soprano soloists, children's choir, string quartet and piano. Children of God was written by American composer Daniel Kellogg. The work focuses on the subject of children, and it incorporates poetry by Dr. Jill Palaez Baumgaetner, Dean of Humanities and Theological Studies at Wheaton College, as well as passages of scripture and several hymn texts.
